Logan Kuehn shot an opening round 74 (+2) for the Southeastern Louisiana University golf team and was tied for 12th midway through the second round before injuring his hand Monday morning during the first and second rounds of the Lone Star Invitational at TPC San Antonio – Oaks Course.

Kuehn, a senior, was eight holes into the second round when he injured his right hand on a swing. Prior to the injury, the Lake Charles, Louisiana native battled hard to stay afloat in the opening round. Kuehn had three birdies and five bogies for a first round 74, and was shooting even par through eight holes of the second round.

“It was a tough day all around for us,” said SLU head coach Jake Narro. “We struggled after not being able to practice for so long due to the (Hurricane Ida) and then Logan went down midway through the second (round). We’ll try to bounce back tomorrow.”

UT San Antonio leads the team standings shooting -3 while UTSA’s Michael Rome and Hunter Bott are tied for the individual lead at -2 through 36 holes.

The tournament concludes Tuesday morning with the final round beginning at 8:30 a.m.
