Caleb Bernard Brown was born on Feb. 8, 1964, in Bogalusa, to Bobby Ray Brown and Helen Ramsey Brown.

On Sunday, Aug. 29, 2021, at the age of 57, Caleb departed his earthly life at St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood, Calif.

Caleb grew up in church was a member of St. John Elizabeth Temple C.O.G.I.C.

Caleb graduated from Bogalusa High School in 1983. He joined the Army Reserve after completing high school. In 1984, Caleb moved to Compton, Calif. He completed his time of service in 1987.

Family was very important to Caleb. When he visited his father, Caleb was always working doing things around the house for his dad. He loved to host family gatherings — birthdays, holidays, and the Super Bowl. He was a diehard Saints fan. Who Dat! He was an excellent cook.

He leaves to cherish loving memories to his son, Cameron Brown of Compton; daughter, Kaysha Brown of Los Angeles, Calif.; father, Elder Bobby (Deloris) Brown of Bogalusa; three sisters, Betty Carter and Patsy Brown of Compton, and Sheila Brown of St. Louis, Mo.; one brother, Eldred Brown of Circle Manor, Texas; sister-in-law, Rochelle Brown of Lithonia, Ga.; granddaughter, Sevyn Brown; grandson, Amir Smith; and a host of relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Ramsey Brown; and brother, Dennis Brown.

A drive-through viewing will be on Friday, Sept. 24, from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa.

A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, Sept. 25, at 2 p.m. at St. John Elizabeth Temple C.O.G.I.C., located at 1126 N. Roosevelt St. in Bogalusa. Interment will follow at Bogalusa Cemetery.
