SLU Opens Cross Country Schedule Friday at LSU Invitational

The Southeastern Louisiana University men’s and women’s cross country teams will compete in the LSU Invitational for their season opening races Friday morning at the University Club of Baton Rouge, beginning at 8:30 a.m. with the men and 9:15 a.m. with the women.

Friday’s race features nine teams, including host LSU, Alcorn State, Dillard, Loyola-New Orleans, UNO, UL Lafayette, Southern, William Carey and SLU.

The men’s race will be 6k as the defending Southland Conference champion Lions will be represented by Bradley Makuvire, Colton Johnson, Thomas Daigle and newcomers Noah Kiprotich and Julius Kemper.

Representing the SLU women in the 5k race are Bridgette and Berni Tournoux, Hailey Dupre’, Indya Jackson, and newcomer Amber Stroughter.
