Chase Gabrielle Lambert has been skateboarding for about a month and went to her first competition in Pensacola, Fla.

Lambert competed in the 12th annual TC Skate Jam at Waterboyz Skatepark on Sept. 4 and came in third in the 14-under division.

Participants had three minutes to do as many tricks as they could and judges determined their score.

The event is named for one of their skateboarders, who passed away in a car accident.

Besides skateboarding, Lambert, who is a third grader at Thomas Elementary School, also competes in track and field. She is a long jumper for her father’s AAU Team, the Milltown Athletic Club.

Lambert also usually competes in dance, but sat out this year to play soccer and skateboard.

Lambert is the daughter of Ross Lambert and Amanda Bufkin. She has an 11-year old brother, Remy Lambert.
