Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Terry Fornea entered the Heavenly Gates on Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021 in Cypress, Texas.

Terry was born on Dec. 19, 1939, in New Orleans. Terry was raised in Angie, where she graduated high school.

She was preceded in death by her father, Seth Lowery; her mother, Estelle Hickerson; her husband, Mason Fornea; a son, Gregory Michael Fornea; a grandson, Scott Allen Fornea; and two brothers, Billy Joe Bria Sr. and Jerry Thomas.

She is survived by her son, Mason Allen Fornea and his wife Connie Fornea; a daughter-in-law, Sandra Fornea; four grandchildren, Matthew Allen Fornea, Andrew Michael Fornea, Katherine Danielle Fornea and Luke Michael Fornea; and two great-grandchildren, Madeline and Alice Fornea.

Mason and Terry were married and raised their family in Bogalusa and later moved to Angie.

From a very young age, her selfless desire to serve others radiated throughout her life, so it was no surprise that her career included various positions where she managed the care of seniors at the Washington Parish Council on Aging, Sandy Hook Estates, and various other facilities.

She loved to travel, especially with the church groups from Angie Baptist and Highland Baptist. She was a devout Christian and her love for the Lord Jesus Christ was immeasurable.

She never met an animal that she didn’t love, especially her dogs named Stinker, Mojo, and Fancy. Hobbies included playing dominoes and gardening — especially flowers of any kind.

In her later years, she moved to Cypress, to be closer to family. There she attended church at First Baptist Church in The Woodlands, Texas.

A visitation will be held Thursday, Sept. 9, from noon until time for the service at 2 p.m. at Angie Baptist Church, with interment to follow at Bonnie Cemetery.
