Bowling Green did not play last week after Hurricane Ida, meaning that this week is the league opener for both teams.

Bowling Green lost to Tri-County Academy, 44-0, on Aug. 27.

Wayne Academy, who was the Class 4A runner up last year, begins play with a 2-1 record after defeating Hebron Christian School, 52-0, last week.

Wayne Academy won last year’s contest against Bowling Green, 41-12.
