Michael Ray Magee was born Feb. 15, 1967, to the late Johnnie W. Magee and Luvenia Magee. He was number six of seven children. He departed this life on Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2021, at 12 p.m. at Riverside Medical Center.

He attended Miracle Temple Pentecostal Church and later attended Lighthouse Pentecostal Church.

He attended Franklinton High School, where he played football. He was employed with Cargill Animal Nutrition for 21 years.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Willene Magee; his children, Shantrell Magee of New Orleans, and Tavon Magee and Alaisha Magee, both of Franklinton; two sisters, Sylvia Jackson and Pauline Hilson of Shreveport; three brothers, Leal Magee, Ramsey Magee and Prentiss Magee, all of Shreveport; one god-son, Skylar Ginn of Tylertown, Miss.; two god-daughters, Jahanna and Joslynn Robinson of Jackson, Miss.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, aunts and friends who loved him dearly.

A drive-through viewing was held Friday, Sept. 3, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Franklinton.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 4, at 11 a.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Franklinton, with the Rev. John H. Robinson officiating. Interment will be in the Wilson Cemetery.
