Gloria Nell Davis, born in Pine Grove, Ala., on Oct. 7, 1942, passed away in Bogalusa on Aug. 27, 2021, at the age of 78.

Gloria Nell was a hardworking, determined, outspoken and at the same time the most loving and generous woman. She was an independent business owner and hairstylist. She opened her own salon in 1977 called Shear Art Hairstyling which is still in operation today where she was working full time. She was a talented artist and photographer. She loved spending time with her family and animals, traveling, and organizing any event she could. She was a mentor and a rock to many. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and customers. Gloria touched the hearts of everyone that crossed her path.

Gloria Nell was preceded in death by her parents, George Leslie Davis and Ruth Davis Marchese; sister, Esther Davis; father of her children, J.B. Davis; grandson-in-law, Clayton Burnthorn; great-granddaughter Grace Scott; and a daughter, Belinda Michelle Seal.

Gloria Nell is survived by her daughters, Lateena Antionette (Chris) Pittman, Kimberly Esther (Leroy) Martin, Leslie Georgene Davis and Jennifer Leigh (Chad) Magee; grandchildren, Amy Hathorne, Marie Burnthorn, Brittany Seal, Noah Seal, Kenneth Galloway, John Davis Herring, David Joseph Bonette Jr., Dayne Bonette, Berett Knight, Wren Kahl, Clay Kahl, Joshua Magee and River Magee; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a nephew, Danny (Melinda) Mann; a son-in-law, Mike Seal; and a brother-in-law, Marty Davis.

A visitation will be held Saturday, Sept. 4, from 10 a.m. until time for the services at 2 p.m. in the Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home chapel.
