Mr. Freddie Pounds, a resident of Lake Charles, passed away Aug. 29, 2021, at the age of 74.

Mr. Pounds is survived by his wife, Betty Pounds, and a son, Marshall Lamar (Candy) Pounds; three grandchildren Danielle, Megan, and Piper Pounds; and six great-grandchildren, Madison, Stelly, Jayla, Makya, Kameron and Khloe. Mr. Pounds is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Pounds was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny Marshall and Bertha Erwin Pounds; a son, Larry Pounds; two brothers, Johnny and Jessie Pounds; five sisters, Judy NeSmith, Louise Hartzog, Jean Pritchett, Millie Fowler and Dorothy Kirschner; and one great-grandson who died at birth.

A visitation was held Friday, Sept. 3, at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from 11 a.m. until time for the services at 2 p.m., with interment to follow at Palestine Baptist Church Cemetery.
