Mrs. Doris Crain Hyde, a lifelong resident of Bogalusa, passed away Aug. 19, 2021, in Alexandria, at the age of 91. Doris adored her family and was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed hosting many family get-togethers and taking camping trips and vacations with her children and grandchildren. She will be lovingly remembered by her family and close friends.

Mrs. Doris is survived by her daughter, Linda Denise Green; a son-in-law, John Teddy Scott; her grandchildren, Aaron Lee (Lindsay Herr) Green and Brittany Hyde (Jeffery Hayward) Remington; and her great-grandchildren, Skyler Guy Remington, Justin Lee Remington, Christian Alan Remington, Ethan Harrison Green and Mason Alexander Green.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Laura Crain; her husband, Claude Lee Hyde; and a daughter, Sherri Hyde Scott.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, Aug. 25, in the Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home Chapel from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., and then will continue Thursday, Aug. 26, from 9 a.m. until time for the services at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Clay Norwood officiating. Interment will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens.
