Lady Bucs split games in tournament, defeated on Monday

Bowling Green School’s Lady Buccaneers split games in a tournament at Amite School Center and were defeated on Monday.

On Saturday, Bowling Green was victorious over Adams County Christian School, but was defeated by Copiah Educational Foundation.

The Lady Buccaneers defeated Adams County Christian School, 5-1.

Katherine Burris doubled and drove in three runs.

Cassidy Spears singled, had two runs batted in and a run scored.

Anna Claire Crowe singled.

Maddie Thomas, Albanie Fussell, Elizabeth Wilkinson and Aubrie Galloway all scored a run.

Laken Culpepper allowed one unearned run on four hits with six strikeouts and two walks.

Bowling Green was defeated by Copiah Educational Foundation, 10-2.

Crowe singled, drove in a run and scored a run.

Spears tripled and scored a run.

Burris doubled and had an RBI.

In non-tournament play on Monday, Bowling Green was defeated by Brookhaven Academy, 11-1, on the road.

Spears hit a solo home run.

Kylee Burris doubled.

Fussell singled.

Bowling Green’s next game will take place on Saturday when the Lady Buccaneers play in the Silliman Institute Tournament at St. Francisville.
