Dardanella Guidry Daigle, 71, of Bogalusa, was born on Sept. 9, 1949, to Darby Guidry and Maude Guidry in Arnaudville. She passed from this world to be with the Lord on Aug. 8, 2021, in her Bogalusa home.

Dardanella graduated from Northside High School in Lafayette, and proceeded to attain a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Louisiana, Lafayette. Out of her many passions, Dardanella’s passion for children and food service took precedence. Her 20 years working in the Bogalusa School System, Food Service Program proved that, as she went above and beyond to ensure every student always had the nutrition and love they deserved.

Dardanella loved everyone who she came in contact with, but her love for her grandchildren surpassed any love a person could have.

Dardanella was predeceased by her parents, Darby and Maude Guidry; her brothers, Derald and Keith Guidry; and her grandson, Christopher Cooley. She is survived by her brother, Christopher (Jennine) Guidry; children, Shelle Murray, Andrew Daigle and Clifton (Morgan) Daigle; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, Aug. 18, from 9 a.m. until noon, at Brown McGehee Funeral Home in Bogalusa.
