Charles E. Magee was called home to glory at the age of 70, on Aug. 10, 2021.

He was born to the late Willie and Lizzie Ruth Magee. He will be lovingly remembered by his family and friends.

Charles leaves to cherish his memories: the love of his love for 40 years, Irma Curney; his children that he loved dearly, Melissa (Marcus) Morris, Karen and Bobby Joe Curney Jr.; his grandchildren, Starday Curney and Ja’Karuis Curney; and two great-grandchildren, Tony Roberts II and Amir Walker; six sisters, Gladys Magee, Shelia Magee, Netta Christian, Monique (Timothy) Joe, Tinka Bell and Frances Magee; one brother, Dennis McGee; a special sister-in-law, Fannie K. Magee; and a devoted niece, Alexis (Marlotha) Keys.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James E. and Lizzie Ruth Magee; his sisters, Rose Mary, Shirley and Linda Kaye Magee; his brothers, Willie and Robert Magee; and a special niece, Monique Magee-Crooks.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, Aug. 21, at 11 a.m. at the Cook-Richmond Funeral Home chapel in Bogalusa. Visitation will be held Friday, Aug. 20, at Cook-Richmond from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. Interment will be in the Sweet Valley Cemetery in Columbia, Miss.
