Sandra Gendron, a Bogalusa native, went home to be with Our Lord, on Aug. 9, 2021, at Tulane Hospital in New Orleans.

Sandra was the beloved wife of Donald Gendron of 46 years. Sandra is survived by her husband, Donald Gendron; her father, Harold Penton; two brothers, Keith and Kenneth (Samantha) Penton; and her sons, Carey Gendron and Kyle (Melissa) Gendron. Sandra will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Tyler, Skyler, and Georgia Gendron, as well as her bonus grandchildren, Hayden Gaiser and Christopher Taylor, and an extended daughter, Susan Boyd. Sandra is also survived by Brandon (Melanie) Penton, Thomas (Michaela) Penton, Kayla Penton and Gavin Goings, as well as numerous other great-nieces and great-nephews.

Sandra was preceded in death by her mother, Lillian Penton; her maternal grandmother, Francis Sorrell; and her aunt, Ganelle Sorrell. She was also preceded in death by her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Eva and Gerard Gendron.

Visitation for Sandra was held Thursday, Aug. 12, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Westside Emmanuel Baptist Church, and resumed Friday, Aug. 13, from 9 a.m. until time for the services at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Marcus Rosa officiating. Interment followed at Garden of Peace in Bogalusa.
