Priscilla Potter Hicks, 77, beloved grandmother, mother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2021 in Rock Hill, S.C.

Priscilla was born on July 20, 1943, the daughter of George and Bertha Potter. She graduated from Bogalusa High School and briefly attended Southeastern Louisiana State University. She lived mostly between Louisiana and North Carolina and briefly in Tacoma, Wash., after she was married. Priscilla was an avid reader and was a proud co-owner of the Rain Barrell bookstore in Elkin, N.C., for many years. She made dear friends and gathered cats everywhere she went. She was most proud to be Mimi to three grandchildren.

Priscilla is survived by her brothers, George and William Potter; her daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughters, Rebecca and Erik Spanberg and Katharine and Eliza; her son and daughter in-law and grandson, David and Julie Hicks and Cooper; and many treasured nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the wonderfully supportive and caring staff at Hospice and Community Care of Rock Hill for their attention and care.
