Lois Helen Williams Cyprian (“Helen”) was born June 29, 1935, in Folsom, the fifth of six children born to Eddie and Cecilia Williams.

She was a dedicated member of Greater Payne Chapel A.M.E. Church. She served as Louisiana Conference YPD Director, WMS Episcopal District Treasurer, and WMS Episcopal President for the 8th Episcopal District for nine years.

Helen was married to Joseph for over 56 years. She leaves behind two sons, Derrick (Chalita) Cyprian of Houston, Texas, and Douglas (Pamela) Cyprian of Folsom; four grandchildren, Kristopher (Krystal) Cyprian of San Antonio, Texas, Brit’tinae Cyprian of San Antonio, and Derrick Cyprian and Jared Cyprian, both of Houston; and three great-grandchildren, Krystian Cyprian, Kaston Cyprian and Katianna Harris of San Antonio. She also leaves two siblings, Delores Plummer of Baton Rouge and Greta Williams of Covington; one aunt, Ruby Conerly of Covington; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Cyprian of Los Angeles, Calif.; two brothers-in-law, Leroy Jenkins of Baton Rouge and Charles Cyprian of Los Angeles; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Dr. Joseph H. Cyprian Jr., her parents, three brothers and a sister.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 1, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Greater Payne Chapel A.M.E. Church, located at 85053 Louisiana Highway 25 in Folsom. Visitation will continue Friday, July 2, from 11 a.m. until 11:55 a.m. at Community Church (formerly known as Faith Bible Church), located at 1148 Columbia St. in Covington. The homegoing services will begin at noon, followed by interment in the Folsom Community Cemetery.

Masks are required. There will be no repast.
