The Preachers vs. Police Basketball is set for Saturday, June 26 at Ben’s Ford Christian School’s gym.

“We would like to invite everyone out to Ben’s Ford Christian gymnasium to support our Police vs preachers basketball game. We’ll have a full concession stand. It’s a good way to support your preachers and law enforcement,”Ben’s Ford Baptist Church/Ben’s Ford Christian School Pastor Caleb Martin said.

This is the first year the event is being held at Ben’s Ford. They held the game two years ago at Bogalusa High School. The Preachers won that game.

Martin said the idea came from Bogalusa Police Chief Kendall Bullen.

“He put it together, we played and had a good time. It’s just something for the community to get behind,” Martin said.

Martin said he is very excited about this.

“I’m very excited. It’s going to be a great competitive day with a lot of fun and good family wholesome entertainment,” Martin said.

The game tips off at 9:30 a.m.

Admission is $3 and proceeds go to help Ben’s Ford Christian School athletics and the Bogalusa Help Center.
