Franklinton resident Kimberly Nichols Tarvin, 51, was arrested Tuesday, by detectives with the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office Drug Task Force on Louisiana Highway 10 east of Franklinton. Tarvin was in possession of illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia, according to WPSO Chief Deputy Mike Haley.

Tarvin was booked into the Washington Parish jail on possession of illegal drugs with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia and a traffic offense.

“Drugs, drugs, drugs — it seems almost daily someone is arrested on charges involving illegal drugs,” Washington Parish Sheriff Randy Seal said. “Why is our jail full? It is because our officers are constantly working on our behalf and making arrests of those who flagrantly violate the laws of the state of Louisiana. We are so fortunate to have men and women of integrity who work hard to uphold our laws.”
