On May 28, 2021, Mrs. Glenda Jones Smith passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her family. Mrs. Smith was a resident of Bogalusa and a member of Highland Baptist Church for over 20 years. She enjoyed being outside, doing yardwork and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Mr. Harold Smith; two daughters, Melissa Fraser (Bobby) and Robin (David) Prophett; four grandchildren, Trevor (Kaitlin) Fraser, Courtney (Brandon) Bills, Madison Prophett and Dillon Prophett; four great-grandchildren, Peyton Bills, Dalton Bills, Oakley Olah and Karson Olah; one sister, Myrna (Wayne) Cotton; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents, James Jones and Hilda Jones; an infant daughter; one brother, James Floyd Jones; one sister, Hilary Sue Dykes; a son-in-law, Edward “Trey” Randolph Fraser; and Mr. Willard “Woo” Singley.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Brown-McGehee Funeral Home and are as follows: visitation is Friday, June 4, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., and will continue on Saturday, June 5, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. Bro. Caleb Martin will officiate all services.

A celebration of life with refreshments will follow, after interment at Highland Baptist Church.
