Royal Sibley, who was born in Bogalusa, has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Heidelberg University in Tiffin, Ohio and play basketball.

Sibley, who is a senior at Whitehall-Yearling High School, in Whitehall, Ohio, plays small forward.

Last season, Sibley averaged 14.9 points per game in 16 contests.

While at Whitehall-Yearling, Sibley tallied about 2,200 points over his four years. He played varsity basketball all four years.

He was an all-district player for two years and was a top 10 all-star district player twice.

Academically, Sibley had a 3.0 grade point average.

Sibley is the son of Howard Dale Sibley and the late Yosha Watson Sibley.
