Bogalusa’s Lumberjacks traveled to Chalmette to play in a spring game against the Owls on Wednesday.

Ashton Levi threw four touchdown passes.

“He’s coming along,” Bogalusa coach Cyril Crutchfield said. “He still has to learn the offense. He played with a lot of poise and he had command of the offense.”

The teams competed in series of plays before capping things off with a 15-minute quarter. The clubs played to a 7-7 tie in the timed quarter.

“I think they played with a lot of effort,” Crutchfield said. “They ran to the ball and they looked a heck of a lot better than they did 10 days earlier and that was encouraging. The most encouraging thing is that we played with three seniors. We have five, but two of them were out, so we had some babies out there.”

The Lumberjacks scored four touchdowns for the entire event, all through the air.

Tajdryn Forbes made two touchdown receptions. One of those was the tally during the timed portion.

Reynis Morris and Aquinten Roberts both caught one touchdown pass.
