Rumble in the Dungeon is Saturday

Kelly’s Youth Training Center Boxing and Strength Training presents Rumble in the Dungeon Amateur Boxing Event.

The competition will take place on Saturday, May 8 at the Pride & Hope Event Center in Angie.

Weigh-ins will start at 10 a.m.

All ages and weight classes will be contested under USA Boxing Specs.

The coaches meeting will start at noon with bouts getting under way at 1 p.m.

Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children under 10.

Smoking and alcoholic beverages will not be permitted.

Sports Work Academy Basketball Camp taking place in July

The 14th annual Sports Work Academy Basketball Camp will be held on Saturday, July 17 at the YMCA.

Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. with the camp to start at 9 a.m.

The camp directors are 1985 Bogalusa High School graduate Michael Galloway and former LSU player Nikita Wilson, who was selected by the Portland Trailblazers in the second round of the 1987 draft.

Murrell Galloway, who is a 1981 Bogalusa High School graduate, is the Coaching Staff Captain.

Franklinton Soccer Club registration

The Franklinton Soccer Club ended their first-full spring season on Saturday. According to the press release, the club has grown so much this season. They look forward to our fall season which will begin in late August/early September. Registration is open year round. Anyone interested can sing up online at www.Franklintonsoccerclub.com.
