Washington Parish Sheriff Randy “Country” Seal encourages the public to sign up for a free alert service to receive notification of current issues in the parish.

Persons wishing to sign up should go to the Sheriff’s Office webpage www.wpso.la.gov and click on the “Sign up for Alerts” link on the right hand side of the page. The link is self-explanatory and will enable any person to receive the latest news or alerts from the Sheriff’s Office via text, email or Facebook.

“It’s free, with no strings attached,” Seal said. “This service has been available for some time now and many of our citizens already take advantage of it. I invite you to join so you keep up with the latest alert or information. We are your Sheriff’s Office and it is important for you stay informed of all that we are doing on your behalf.”
