Mr. Robert Wayne Mixon Sr., 78, a resident of Bogalusa, peacefully passed away on April 26, 2021, at Stone County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wiggins, Miss.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Carolyn G. Knight Mixon; four children, Anita G. Mixon Cooper, Robin L. Mixon, Robert W. Mixon Jr. and Alicia E. Mixon, all who reside in the Washington Parish area; a grandson, Brandyn M. Cooper of Minot, N.D.; a granddaughter, Savannah G. Smith of Washington Parish; one cousin, Calvin Grantham; numerous nieces and nephews; and a life-long family friend, Charles (Charlene) Easterling.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Mixon Sr. and Grace Grantham Mixon; two brothers, Albert Mixon Jr. and Charles “Chuck” A. (Sarah) Mixon; and two sisters, Kathleen (Robert) Mixon McSwain and Brenda J. (Glyn) Mixon Carter.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown-McGehee Funeral Home and are as follows: visitation was Thursday, April 29, from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. Interment immediately followed at Knight Cemetery in Sheridan.
