Bogalusa native Pamela Williams is a single mom and is all too familiar with the rewards and challenges that go along with being a single parent.

When the opportunity arose to co-author the book “Dear Single Mom: You Were Built to Defy the Odds,” Williams didn’t hesitate to contribute her experiences and encouragement for other single moms, as well as an opportunity to put her writing skills to work.

To help publicize such a much needed written work and to support Williams in her writing endeavors, the Bogalusa Branch Library will host a book signing on Thursday, May 6, from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m., right before Mother’s Day in honor of all mothers.

The public is invited to come in and meet Williams and hear her story of how she’s met and navigated through the challenges of being a single mom. She will have copies of the book available for purchase and will sign each book sold.
