Larry Smith, beloved husband and father, died Tuesday, April 27, 2021. He was 72 years old, a retired welder and lived in New Orleans. He was the son of the late Joseph Smith and Elnora Burton.

He will be deeply missed by his devoted wife, Frances B. Smith; two children, Tiffany and Justin Smith; one grandson, Gerald Williams Jr.; six brothers, Joe Nathan, McKiethen, Clyde, Dock, Edward and Mark Smith; and five sisters, Linda Wilson, Brenda Bell, Gwendolyn Redditt, Barbara Sanders and Patricia Semien.

Relatives and friends of the family were invited to attend a 3 p.m. drive-through viewing Thursday, April 29, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Franklinton.

The funeral service will be Saturday, May 1, at 3 p.m. at Bethel Church of Christ Holiness USA, located at 25333 Harvey Road in Franklinton, with the Rev. Alvin Partman, pastor, officiating. Interment will be held at the Smith Cemetery.

Crain and Sons Funeral Home of Franklinton is in charge of arrangements.
