Terri Lynn Varnado, a lifelong resident of Bogalusa, 53, departed this earth on April 16, 2021, at Tulane University Hospital in New Orleans, and entered her eternal home with her Lord and Savior.

Terri dedicated 20 years of her life to ResCare Inc., where her work was so rewarding to her. To know her was to love her. A selfless individual, she lived her life to serve others. With a pure heart and a gentle soul, she got majority of her joy out of life helping others. The day she departed this earth she was gloriously rewarded all of her rewards she had worked so hard for all of her life.

Terri leaves to cherish her memories: fur babies, Baxter and Squeeky; sisters, Tammi (Robert) Dobson and Brittany (Shaun) Entrekin; special nephews, Hunter, Evan, and Zachary (Samantha) Boone and Raylan Wallace; fur nieces, Bella Rose, Trixie, Minnie, and Dottie; special aunts, Matilda and Lynn Varnado; and special uncles, Billy (Trish) Sanders, Roger Sanders, and Mike (Diane) Sanders and Bobby (Judy) Sanders.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rodney and Peggy Varnado; maternal grandparents, Jack and Joyce Sanders; paternal grandparents, Carl and Rosemary Varnado; and brother-in-law, Christopher Carnegie.

Celebration of life services will be Thursday, April 22, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Friday, April 23, from 9 a.m. until the funeral service starting at 11 a.m. Brother Chad Jenkins and Tommy Pittman will officiate and interment will follow at Ponemah Cemetery. “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous hand” (Isaiah 41:10).
