Pine’s Raiders posted a 3-0 record this week after defeating Mt. Hermon School on Wednesday and winning a doubleheader over Independence on Thursday.

The game against Mt. Hermon School was a 4-2 win on the road.

Pine’s Chase Cooper doubled and drove in two runs.

Ethan Ryals singled and tallied an RBI.

Coby Sheridan, Clint Miley, Bryson Thomas and Colby Comeaux all singled.

Chris Strahan and Cayden Schololgel both scored a run, while John Eric Self drove in a run.

Cooper was the winning pitcher. He went the distance, allowing one earned run on five hits with 11 strikeouts and one walk.

Grayson Painter tallied two hits for Mt. Hermon.

Travell Brumfield singled and scored two runs.

Brady Smith and Kenley Curole both had a hit.

Kameron Brumfield drove in two runs.

The next day, Pine won a doubleheader against Independence at home in District 9-2A play by scores of 21-0 and 10-0.

Both games lasted five innings and Pine scored in all nine innings they batted and Pine’s pitchers did not allow a hit over the 10 innings.

The Raiders opened the 21-0 game with a 12-run first inning.

Sheridan and Comeaux combined on a no hitter. Sheridan went four innings with six strikeouts and no walks. Comeaux threw the final frame with one strikeout and no walks.

Offensively, Sheridan had two hits that included a double, four runs batted in and a run scored.

Comeaux scored a run.

Brandon Sprehe went 2-for-2 with two RBIs and a run scored.

Self doubled, tallied four runs batted in and scored a run.

Strahan doubled, drove in four runs and scored four runs.

Thomas singled with two runs scored and two runs batted in.

Schololgel doubled and drove in a run.

Nathan Adams singled and scored three runs.

Lucas Lemaire singled and drove in a run.

Luke Spears singled.

Miley scored two runs and had two RBIs, while Cooper tallied two runs, Wes Crain, Brady Polk, Ryals and Ethan Rester all scored a run.

Pine scored five runs in the first inning of the 10-0 contest. The Raiders posted two runs in the third and single runs in the second, fourth and fifth innings.

Sprehe and Self combined on the no hitter. Sprehe threw four innings with 10 strikeouts and two walks. Self pitched an inning with two strikeouts and a walk.

Self singled and scored a run.

Sprehe singled, doubled and drove in a run.

Thomas posted a hit with two runs scored and an RBI.

Comeaux had a hit and two runs scored.

Miley, Ryals and Strahan all singled and scored a run.

Sheridan and Cooper each scored a run.
