Geraldine Johnson-Davis was born June 13, 1949, in Bogalusa, to the union of Deacon Eddie Johnson Sr. and Celestina Marañon Johnson, then raised in the loving care of Willie and Adlee Kennedy. On Sunday, April 4, 2021, she peacefully entered into eternal rest at the age of 71.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Rev. Joseph Johnson Sr. and Alma Jane Pittman Taylor Johnson; her dearest uncle, Rev. W.J.; brothers, Andrew, Willie J. and Eddie Jr.; and a stillborn child.

Geraldine is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, Lee Jerone Davis; siblings, Vial Rodney (Claudia), Rev. John W., Sr. (Burnett) Frederick, Beverly Magee, Lee Bilberry, Barbara (Alfredo) Gatdula, and Jeanette Johnson; children, Jacque Keil, Michelle Keil, Curtis Keil, and Rachelle Keil (Walter Smith); grandchildren, Kristian Russell, Harold “Mark” Williams, Harold “Joe” Augustin III, Marchell Navarre, Keilab Russell, Jaia Smith, and Aja Smith, also affectionately known as “My (her) seven grands;” and beloved son (pet) who she loved most of all, Mister.

She was affectionately known as “The Flower Lady.” Her business, Magic City Blooms, and her thirst for entrepreneurialism are left behind to forever memorialize her life-long romance with floral arrangements. A love from which she inherited from and shared with her father.

Family and friends were invited to attend the drive-through viewing Friday, April 9, from 6:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, April 10, at 10 a.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home, located at 809 E. Third St. in Bogalusa.
