Pine tops Mt. Hermon in high-scoring softball game

Pine’s Addyson Phelps had four hits, while Alyssa Phelps, Kirbee Magee and Lily Crain all posted three hits in a 19-15 win over Mt. Hermon School on the road Monday.

Addyson Phelps doubled twice and drove in three runs.

Alyssa Phelps tripled, tallied three runs batted in and scored four runs.

Crain scored three runs.

Magee had two doubles, an RBI and three runs scored.

Dillon Sumrall posted two hits, two RBIs and a run scored.

Kiyasha Clark tallied two doubles, two RBIs and two runs scored.

Ana Kate Thomas and Bailey Brooks each had two singles, two runs batted in and two runs scored.

Makia Clark singled twice and scored two runs.

Mt. Hermon School’s Bailey Fortenberry posted four hits, three for extra bases and missed hitting for the cycle by only a homer. Fortenberry recorded two doubles and a triple to go with three runs batted in and a run scored.

Sydnei Tullos had three hits, including a triple, with three RBIs and two runs scored.

Emily Bulloch singled three times, drove in three runs and scored a run.

Shunna Williams tallied three hits and four runs scored.

Layla Riley singled, doubled, drove in two runs and scored a run.

Jaydn Stafford recorded two hits, including a double, a run batted in and two runs scored.

Alexis Magee posted two hits, an RBI and four runs scored.

Mt. Hermon School played in the Riverside Academy Tournament on March 26 and 27 and was defeated by Mt. Carmel and Riverside Academy.

The March 26 game was a 21-0 loss to Mt. Carmel.

The next day was a 15-0 loss to Riverside Academy.

Tullos and Fortenberry had a hit each.
