Joel David Parrott, a native of Bogalusa and resident of Livingston, passed away at his home on Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at the age of 65.

He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and uncle. He enjoyed fishing, LSU, sports, and spending time with his family. He spent his career as a butcher.

Joel is survived by his children, Jason Parrott and Rani Armstrong and husband Justin; grandchildren, Taylor LeCroy and husband Nick, Madisyn Armstrong and fiancé Matthew, Hannah Armstrong, Sarah Parrott, Michael Parrott; great-grandchildren, Easton and Jett; sister, Barbara King and husband Gordon; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Joel was preceded in death by his wife, Amy Parrott; parents, Doyle and Dolores Parrott; siblings, Debra Parrott Oliver, Michael Parrott and Larry Parrott; and nephew, Adam King.

Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home in Baton Rouge on Monday, April 5, from 12:30 p.m. until the funeral service at 2:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
