Eddie Jerry Adams passed away from the earthly presence in to the presence of the Lord on Sunday, March 21, 2021.

His career endeavors included Bogalusa Iron Foundry, Avondale Shipyard, Resthaven, Bogalusa Junior High School, and multiple entrepreneurial activities.

Eddie’s favorite pastime was fishing, cooking, and spending time with his loved ones. He often declared that he had “the best boil pots in the city!”

He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Rose Johnson Adams of Bogalusa; two sons, Eddie Adams III (Rekelia McGowan) and Aaron Sowell, both of Bogalusa; a daughter, Kenndra Peters of Bogalusa; a special niece, LaTonya Felice Prather (Shemmyron); two sisters, Virgie Moses (late Rev. Coleman) of Bogalusa, and Lisa Adams of Las Vegas, Nev.; six brothers, Daren Adams (Fatima) of Belgium, Malcom Adams (Lamanda) of Bogalusa, Steven Adams (Doris) of Fountain, N.C., Christopher Adams of Bogalusa, Jerri McClure of Bogalusa, and Victor (Tina) Adams; two sisters-in-law, Barbara (Ron) Felice of Richmond, Texas, and Gilda (Tommy) Brumfield of Bogalusa; three grandchildren, Ed’Ricka Adams, E. Mani Rose Adams and Dez’Ree Adams; special friends, Brenda Morgan, Sylvia Sylvan and Jackie Temple; uncle, Bobby Miller; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Alfreda Adams; his father, Eddie Adams Sr.; a son, Michael Adams; two brothers, Freddie Adams and Bobby Adams; and a sister-in-law, Sondra Adams.

A drive-through viewing was held on Friday, April 2, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa.

A funeral service will be Saturday, April 3, at 2 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home, with the Rev. Edward Sartin officiating. Interment will be at the Bogalusa Cemetery.
