Franklinton’s Lady Demons went 2-0 in District 9-4A games held on March 16 and March 18.

On March 16, Bailey Brooks hit a walk-off two-run single, helping the Lady Demons defeat Lakeshore, 5-4, in Tuesday’s home game.

The game was tied at 4-4 when Brooks came to the plate. Her single plated Khristian Schexnider with the winning run. Brooks tallied two hits and the run batted in. Schexnider went 3-for-4 with a double, a run scored and an RBI.

Brylie Fowler doubled twice and posted a single along with two runs batted in and a run scored.

Aleigha Fussell singled twice and a run scored.

Ashlyn Welch doubled and scored two runs.

Skylar Branch singled and drove in a run.

Missouri Varnado singled.

On Thursday, Franklinton defeated Salmen, 21-0, on the road in four innings, as Branch threw a no hitter in the victory.

Branch struck out five and walked nobody.

The Lady Demons led 11-0 through three innings before posting 10 runs in the fourth.

Schexnider went 4-for-4 with with a double, three RBIs and four runs scored.

Fowler singled, tripled and homered, missing the cycle by only a double. She drove in four runs scored three runs.

Branch doubled twice and singled once to go with three runs scored and two RBIs.

Ashlyn Welch tallied three hits that included a double and three runs scored.

Brooks posted two hits that included a double, two runs batted in and two runs scored.

Isabella Causey tallied two hits that included a double, two runs scored and an RBI.

Albanie Fuselle homered, drove in two runs and scored two runs.

Aleigha Fussell singled, had two RBIs and a run scored.

Varnado scored a run.

Franklinton played in the Ponchatoula Tournament on Friday and Saturday and went 1-2.

The Lady Demons were defeated by Walker, 14-3, in five innings on Friday.

Albanie Fuselle homered, doubled, drove in two runs and scored a run.

Welch and Ashley Smith both scored a run.

Franklinton played twice on Saturday and split the games.

The first was a 9-4 win over Albany.
