Franklinton’s LaSalle wins this week’s Northlake Golf League

Franklinton’s Mason LaSalle was the top golfer in the Northlake Golf League in Monday’s action at Franklinton Country Club.

LaSalle tallied a 91 over the 18 holes.

LaSalle won by one stroke over Salmen’s Sidney Richardson.

Lakeshore golfers Jesse Richardson and Collin Doyle came in third and fourth respectively with scores of 102 and 103 and Franklinton’s Christopher Temples rounded out the top five with a 104 in a field of 13 golfers.

Two local teams competed in Bogalusa and Franklinton.

Franklinton’s Sonny Nuzzolillo posted a 113.

Bogalusa also had three golfers competing.

Jahee Roberts led the Lumberjacks with a 117.

Javon Morris tallied a 119 and Desmond Johnson posted a 123.

The girls played nine holes.

Pearl River’s Sophie Lee won the event with a 47 in a field of five.

Lakeshore teammates Amelia Siverd and Abby Morris tied for second with a 63 each, as Avery Finklea was fourth and Franklinton’s Madeleine Burris was fifth with a 70.

Lakeshore won the boys and girls’ team competition.

The league will return to action on Monday when they play at Oak Harbor Golf Club in Slidell.
