Pearl River Community College’s Madelyn Burch along with teammate Ankerion Gross have been named the Forrest General Wildcats of the Week.

Burch, a 2020 Bowling Green School graduate, made her debut last Saturday and threw a five-inning complete game shutout in a 19-0 win over Coahoma Community College.

Burch allowed two hits and struck out nine.

This was a “mercy rule” win.

Pearl River Community College plays a doubleheader on March 20 against East Mississippi Community College at home starting at 1 p.m.
