Pine defeats Mt. Hermon, Loranger

Pine’s Lady Raiders won their home games that took place on Monday and Tuesday, while Mt. Hermon School went 1-3 in recent games.

Pine defeated Mt. Hermon School, 15-6, on Monday.

Kirbee Magee drove in five runs that included a homer and two singles with two runs scored in a 3-for-3 day.

Dillon Sumrall posted two hits that included a double, three runs scored and two RBIs.

Makia Clark recorded two hits, two runs batted in and a run scored.

Addyson Phelps posted two hits, two runs scored and an RBI.

Lily Crain hit a homer, drove in a run and scored a run.

Alyssa Phelps, Addilyn Nobles and Kiyasha Clark all singled and scored two runs.

Bailey Brooks scored a run and drove one in.

Alyssa Phelps allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits with four strikeouts and two walks in three innings.

Mt. Hermon’s Sydnei Tullos led the team with three hits. She also posted an RBI and a run scored.

Alexa Bulloch singled, tripled, drove in a run and scored a run.

Bailey Fortenberry tallied two hits with a

run and an RBI.

Layla Riley went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI.

Alexis Magee singled twice.

On Tuesday, Pine defeated Loranger, 23-1, in three innings.

Pine scored eight runs in the first and 15 in the second. Sumrall went 2-for-2 with a homer and a triple to go with four runs batted in and three runs scored.

Makia Clark had two hits that included a double with three RBIs and two runs scored.

Addyson Phelps doubled with three runs batted in and a run scored.

Alyssa Phelps singled twice, scored three runs and drove in two runs.

Crain tallied two hits with two runs scored and she drove in a run.

Magee singled and scored three runs.

Kiyasha Clark singled and scored two runs.

Brooks singled, scored three runs and drove in two runs.

Hailey Martin scored two runs, while Katie Crain tallied one run.

Alyssa Phelps pitched the three innings, allowing no earned runs on one hit with five strikeouts and one walk.

Mt. Hermon played in the Hahnville Tournament on March 5-6 and were defeated by Haynes Academy and H.L. Bourgeois.

The game against Haynes Academy was a 17-0 loss in three innings on Friday.

Saturday’s game against H.L. Bourgeois was 23-5 in four innings.

Fortenberry singled twice and scored two runs.

Riley went 2-for-2 with an RBI.

Magee doubled, drove in two and scored a run.

Jadyn Stafford doubled and scored a run.

Makenlyn Garcia singled.

Shunna Williams scored a run.

On Thursday, Mt. Hermon defeated Bogalusa, 19-0, in three innings at the Airport Ballpark.

Magee threw a perfect game over the three innings with eight strikeouts. Magee was also strong offensively, going 2-for-3 with both hits being doubles along with four runs batted in and two runs scored.

Williams posted two hits that included a homer, two RBIs and two runs scored.

Fortenberry doubled twice, scored two runs and drove one home.

Katherine Quin singled twice and scored two runs. Tullos tripled, scored three runs and tallied three runs batted in. Bulloch doubled and scored three runs and tallied three runs batted in. Riley posted a single, an RBI and a run scored.

Katie Riley drove in a run, while Blayke Brinker and Emily Bulloch both scored a run and had an RBI.

Both teams will play again on March 13 in the Jewel Sumner Tournament.
