Bogalusa and Franklinton golfers hit the links in week two of the Northlake Golf League that took place on Monday at Royal Golf Club in Slidell.

The event featured 13 boys and five girls.

Lakeshore had four of the top five finishers in the boys for the nine-hole event.

Jesse Maggio won this week’s league with a 53.

Maggio won the week by two strokes over Hezekiah Chatelain.

Connor Prinzo tallied a 56 for third, followed by Rhett Kimbell’s 57 and Franklinton’s Christopher Temples to round out the top five.

Franklinton’s Sonny Nuzzolillo posted a 61, while teammate Mason LaSalle posted a 64.

Bogalusa’s Jahee Roberts posted a 66, while Javon Morris tallied a 70 and Desmond Johnson had a 71.

In the girls, two of the top three golfers were from Lakeshore.

Pearl River’s Sophie Lee won the event with a 44.

Amelia Siverd tied Avery Finklea for second with a 65.

Franklinton’s Madeleine Burris posted a 72.

Lakeshore’s boys and girls both won team honors.

The league will continue on Monday at Franklinton Country Club.
