Lady Demons competed in Ponchatoula meet on Thursday

Franklinton’s Lady Demons competed in the Ponchatoula Invitational that was held on Thursday.

Franklinton’s 4×100-meter relay team was fourth after running the race in 1 minute. The team featured Trinity Bryant, Alexia Mason, Natera Washington and Derranajuh Warren. Hammond won in 55.45 seconds.

Franklinton was the only team from Washington Parish competing in the meet.

Paulina Martinez came in sixth for the 800, running in 3 minutes, 17 seconds. Slidell’s Brooke Legendre won in 2:39.

Franklinton’s 4×200 relay team came in sixth, clocking in at 2:08. The team had Trinity Bryant, Alexia Mason, Zoriea Gore and Derranajuh Warren. Covington topped the race in 1:53.

Martinez was ninth in the 1,600 with a time of 7:04. Christ Episcopal School’s Svenya Stoyanoff won in 5:21.

Isabella Lambert was ninth for the javelin with a throw of 33-4. Hammond’s Bailey Babin won at 87-7.

Bryant and Ashiriah Williams came in 10th and 11th in the long jump with distances of 11-1 and 10-11. Tiarra Tillison won at 16-4.

Lambert and MsTaryn Anders were 12th and 13th in discus with throws of 41-4 and 34-4. Ponchatoula’s Sentelle Brumfield won at 92-2.

Lambert and Anders took 13th and 14th for the shot put at 14-11 and 12-10. Brumfield was the winner at 36-10.

Gore was 14th in the 100 at 15.89. Tillison won in 13.19.

Franklinton will compete again on Friday at Jewel Sumner.
