Bowling Green sweeps doubleheader from Amite School Center

Bowling Green School’s Buccaneers baseball team won both games of a doubleheader on Friday, 7-4 and 7-3, over Amite School Center in District 4-3A contests on the road.
Bowling Green had three hits in the opener.
Jeffrey Slaughter singled and scored a run.
Logan Serpas tallied a hit and a run batted in.
Ben Galloway singled.
Matthew Bienvenu scored two runs, while Bradlee Davidson, Keaton Ruffino and Blaine Bulloch all scored a run and Grason Smith and Aiden Hodges drove in two runs each.
Slaughter was the winning pitcher. He threw a complete game, allowing one earned run on three hits with eight strikeouts and three walks.
In the second game, Ruffino tallied two hits and two runs scored.
Serpas singled, scored a run and drove one home.
Michael Yarborough singled and had a run batted in.
Smith posted two RBIs, while Jamiron Sellers, Galloway and Bulloch all scored a run.
Winning pitcher Bienvenu allowed three runs, two earned over four innings on four hits with 10 strikeouts and three walks.
Ruffino pitched three no-hit innings with five strikeouts and two walks.
Bowling Green will play again on Wednesday, March 3 against Lamar Christian School at home.
