Bogalusa’s Lady Jacks were defeated by Loranger, 92-53, in the bi-district round of the Class 3A state playoffs on Thursday.

Ledericka Payne scored 14 points to lead Bogalusa.

Deranique Lee posted 12 points.

Tamerical Peters and Mary Ladner tallied eight each.

Cailtyn Holloway recorded six.

Mariah Myles had four.

“We lost in the first round of the playoffs in a very challenging year. I have two seniors that will definitely be missed, Mary Ladner and Deranique Lee. So proud of the way both of them finished their high school career off strong. I know we all wished for a better or different outcome, but I think these two ladies have laid the foundation for something great in the future,” Bogalusa coach Carnell Owens said.

Bogalusa was the 24th-seeded team.

Ninth-seeded Loranger played against eighth-seeded Iota in the regional round and won 43-41.
