Paul E. Nicholson died peacefully on Feb. 12, 2021, in Alabama. He was born Aug. 19, 1961, in Metairie to Gavin Denim Nicholson and Barbara Ann (Yancey) Nicholson. Following high school, he married his sweetheart Lydia Burge, and they had three children, Lydia Natasha Nicholson, Paul Garland Nicholson and Christopher Scott Nicholson. They were married for 10 years. Paul was a loving father, hard worker, and had a God-gifted talent for dancing.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Johnny Nicholson.

Paul was survived by his sister, Patricia Flynn; his brothers, Denny Nicholson, Charles Nicholson, Timmy Nicholson and Douglas Nicholson; his daughter, Tasha Nicholson; his sons, Paul G. Nicholson and Christopher Nicholson; his granddaughter, Cheyanne Nicholson; his grandsons, Andrew Garland Nicholson, Braden Nicholson and Ryder Nicholson; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, Feb. 19, at 5 p.m., at 21514 Highway 440 in Kentwood. Funeral services will follow on Saturday, Feb. 20, at 10:30 a.m., at Saint John’s Baptist Church in Bogalusa.

He will be missed, but will forever be in our hearts.
