Lady Bucs win against Riverfield in tourney

Bowling Green School’s Lady Buccaneers started the Class 3A South State Tournament with a 58-13 victory over Riverfield Academy on Tuesday at Columbia Academy.

Bailey Devall tallied 16 points to top the Lady Buccaneers in scoring. Devall made seven of her 13 shots. Devall missed a double-double by just two rebounds, recording eight, to go with two assists and four steals.

KaKa Seal posted nine points on 3-of-4 from the field along with one rebound, an assist and two steals.

Claire Wascom had seven points, eight boards and an assist.

Baileigh Crain posted six points on 3-of-6 in field goal attempts, two rebounds, two assists and four steals.

Peyton Dupuy recorded five points that included a 3-pointer and a steal.

Javonnie Bickham tallied four points, two rebounds, two assists and three steals.

Anna Claire Crowe had three points. She made a 3-pointer and grabbed two rebounds.

Emily Cothern posted two points and a rebound.

Katherine Burris, Kate Penton and Grace Saverese all posted two points.

Reese King recorded an assist, while Hallie Serigne grabbed two rebounds, Sydney Verret had an assist and a steal and Bridget Devall posted three rebounds and an assist.

Bowling Green played Clinton Christian Academy in its next game yesterday after press time.

The top four teams move to the Class 3A Tournament.
