The Glover family celebrates Cadet Lt. Col. Lena Rachell Glover’s Student of the Year Award recognition. This award confers her service as a role model for the Washington Parish youth, now and in the future.

Her leadership has positively impacted the people of the Bogalusa community. Outside the high school setting, Glover’s community service efforts are unique and far-reaching. She has earned over 185 community service hours and will be recognized at graduation with The President’s Volunteer Service Award. In addition to performing her academic responsibilities and Jr. ROTC duties at an exemplary level, Glover has demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to her academic prowess by taking dual enrollment classes in the following areas: U.S. History, Fine Arts, Western Civilization, and English 101 and 102. She maintains a 3.9 grade-point average while trying to juggle being a student and cadet in a challenging pandemic environment. Currently, she is a member of the 4-H Club, Future Farmers of America (FFA), National Honor Society, Education Talent Search, and six years in Talent Art. She received the Superior Cadet award her LET three-year. Furthermore, she enthusiastically participates in extracurricular activities such as Raider Challenge, and Drill Team.

Through many educational and community challenges, Glover has made a difference at our schools and exemplified the Jr. ROTC Program’s mission. Her dedication to the nation can be seen through her desire to serve in the United States Army.

Glover is truly a role model for others to follow and will be an asset to any organization. We wish her the best in her future endeavors and want her to know that she has made her parents, school, community, and Jr. ROTC program proud to have had her in our ranks.
