Sheriff’s Office seeks missing woman, 33 (UPDATED: Woman found)

Washington Parish Sheriff Randy Seal is seeking the public’s help to locate a missing woman, who reportedly has mental health issues.

Emily Kay Westmoreland, 33, has shoulder-length blond hair, a surgical scar on her abdomen and no known tattoos. She was last seen on Tuesday, walking on Turkey Road near Louisiana Highway 25 and Westmoreland Road. At that time, she was wearing a denim skirt, boots and a black rabbit fur jacket.

Any person who knows the whereabouts of Emily Kay Westmoreland is asked to call Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office Det. Randy Reviere at 985-201-4534 or the Sheriff’s Office at 985-839-3434.

“Help us find this young lady,” Seal said. “Her safety and welfare are very important and we need to find her. Please, if you know where she is, call us.”

UPDATE at 4:58 p.m. — WPSO Chief Deputy Mike Haley released the following statement: “Emily Kay Westmoreland has been located by the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office. She is safe. Sheriff Seal thanks everyone for their assistance.”
