Franklinton’s Demons were defeated by Ascension Christian and won against Salmen in the team’s final two regular season games.

On Jan. 28, Franklinton was defeated by Ascension, 8-0, in a game that took place at home.

“We played much faster and created opportunities offensively, but were unable to finish,” Franklinton coach Nate Murray said. “Defensively we did not keep formation nor were able to limit the impact of a very talented player. Unfortunately, the score doesn’t show the resolve our players demonstrated.”

Franklinton capped off the regular season with a 3-2 win over Salmen in a District 7-II game that took place on Monday at home.

Ahmod Parker scored a goal.

Eddie Roberts tallied a goal on a corner kick from Kade Lavigne.

Mason Varnado scored a goal on a throw in from Caden Lee.

“Thank you seniors for your unwavering commitment to FHS and the soccer program,” Murray said. “Your coaches have deep respect for you.”

Murray added that his seniors are Keaton Catrett, Wesley Crain, Sean Bowman, Caden Lee, Aden Hartzog and Varnado.
