Anerlene Alford McDaniel passed away on Jan. 22, 2021, in Slidell, at the age of 92. She was born in Lexie, Miss., on Feb. 16, 1928.

She is survived by her son, Alvin Joseph Royer Jr.; brother, Gerry and Vivian Morris of Hattiesburg, Miss.; and her nieces, Angela Pritchard and Laura Morris of Crossroads, Miss.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Everton McDaniel; her parents, Jeff Alford and Myrtle Morris; and her brother, James Edwin Morris.

Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home has been entrusted with her arrangements. The Rev. Dennis Allen will officiate services at a later date.
