Varnado’s Lady Cats were defeated by Amite, 92-11, in a District 9-2A game held Friday at home.

Myeasha Peters tallied nine points to lead Varnado.

Myeshawn Fox posted two.

Amite, which is 14-2, is second in the unofficial LHSAA Class 2A powerpoint rankings.

Varnado’s next game will take place on Friday against Independence on the road.
