Lady Buccaneers tally 1-1 record in recent games

Bowling Green School’s Lady Buccaneers went 1-1 in their District 4-3A games that were held on Tuesday and Thursday.

Both contests took place at home.

Tuesday’s game was a 52-29 victory over Amite School Center.

Bridget Devall led the Lady Buccaneers in scoring with 12 points on 5-of-9 from the field. Devall pulled down two rebounds.

KaKa Seal posted 11 points that included two 3-pointers, two boards, an assist, three steals and a blocked shot.

Bailey Devall nearly had a triple-double, going for nine points, nine rebounds and two steals. Devall also dished out five assists.

Anna Claire Crowe had nine points on 4-of-6 from the field that included a 3-pointer. Crowe had three assists and six steals.

Claire Wascom tallied five points that included a 3-pointer, three boards and two assists.

Javonnie Bickham posted four points, five rebounds and a steal.

Peyton Dupuy had two points, two rebounds and two steals.

Emily Cothern grabbed a rebound for Bowling Green.

On Thursday, Bowling Green came up short to Columbia Academy, 34-33.

Bailey Devall led the team in points with 11. Devall, who made two 3-pointers, posted six rebounds, dished out an assist, blocked a shot and made three steals.

Seal posted nine points that included three 3-pointers, two boards, two assists and three steals.

Bickham recorded six points that included two 3-pointers and one rebound.

Bridget Devall tallied four points, two boards, an assist and two steals.

Wascom scored three points that included 3-pointer. She recorded three assists and a blocked shot.

Dupuy grabbed a rebound, while Crowe had a rebound and three assists.

Bowling Green’s next game will take place on Tuesday at home against Adams County Christian School.
