Franklinton High School’s Jaheim Jefferson

Franklinton’s Jaheim Jefferson is a two-sport athlete.

The senior plays basketball and baseball.

In basketball, Jefferson plays both guard positions and shooting forward.

On the diamond, Jefferson is a second baseman.

“Jaheim Jefferson is a hard worker and a good kid who handles his business both on and off the floor,” Franklinton boys basketball coach Brad Oestricher said. “He possesses leadership qualities and will be a productive citizen in our society.”

What do you enjoy most about playing your sports?

Just having fun.

What do you like best about being a student athlete?

Going to class and getting everything done and then coming into basketball and relieving stress with basketball.

Who has been the most influential person in your school sports career? Why?

Coach ‘O’ (Oestricher). He just pushes a lot. He pushes me to do the right things.

Who is your favorite athlete? Why?

Kobe Bryant because I just watched him a lot and he made me like basketball more.

Favorite team?

Golden State Warriors.

Best thing about living in Washington Parish?

Seeing all of my friends and hanging out with them almost every single day.
