The University of Louisiana at Lafayette were victorious in the SERVEPRO First Responder Bowl, 31-24, over the University of Texas at San Antonio last Saturday. The team featured two players from Washington Parish High Schools in 2017 Varnado High School graduate Andre Jones and 2020 Franklinton High School graduate Mike Martin. Jones is a redshirt junior, while Martin is a freshman.
